Welcome to Kazan! Meet your guide at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy your first evening at leisure — stroll around the city center or relax after your journey.

Day 2 – Exploring Kazan’s Treasures

Start the day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, then embark on a panoramic sightseeing tour of Kazan. Discover the city’s highlights including:
  • The Kazan Kremlin – UNESCO World Heritage Site and cultural heart of the city
  • Qul Sharif Mosque and Annunciation Cathedral, standing side by side as symbols of coexistence
  • The intriguing Old Tatar Settlement and Textile Settlement

Day 3 – Optional Bolgar Excursion or Free Day

Today is yours to enjoy Kazan at your own pace — or choose an optional excursion to the ancient city of Bolgar, a historical and archaeological UNESCO site that was once the capital of Volga Bulgaria. Walk among white-stone ruins, visit mosques and mausoleums, and see monuments commemorating the adoption of Islam in the region.

Whether you explore independently or take the optional tour, this day offers a deep dive into the cultural roots of Tatar history.

Day 4 – Sviyazhsk & Cheboksary

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and travel to Sviyazhsk, a historic island town once used as a military fortress and later a spiritual center of the Middle Volga. Here you will visit:
  • Holy Trinity Church, one of Russia’s oldest wooden temples
  • Cathedral of the Joy for All Who Grieve
  • The picturesque Assumption Monastery complex
Continue on to Cheboksary, the capital of the Chuvash Republic. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the riverfront city, featuring scenic embankments, cultural monuments, and a colorful ethnographic program celebrating Chuvash traditions — complete with a taste of local drink and folklore.

Day 5 – Yoshkar-Ola & Departure
