5-Day Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Moscow → Vladimir → Bogolyubovo → Suzdal
Depart from Moscow and visit Vladimir — an ancient capital with its Golden Gates and Assumption Cathedral. Continue to Bogolyubovo to see the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl, then arrive in Suzdal for an evening in a charming old town.
Day 2 – Suzdal → Kostroma
Explore Suzdal’s historic kremlin and monasteries before heading to Kostroma, known for its peaceful streets, ancient trading rows and the famous Ipatiev Monastery.
Day 3 – Kostroma → Plyos → Yaroslavl
Discover Kostroma’s heritage and enjoy a cheese tasting before visiting Plyos, a picturesque riverside village celebrated in Russian art. Continue to Yaroslavl, a UNESCO-listed city with medieval churches and scenic embankments.
Day 4 – Yaroslavl Sightseeing
Take a guided tour of Yaroslavl’s historic centre, including the Transfiguration Monastery and the Church of Elijah the Prophet. Free time in the afternoon to explore more on your own.
Day 5 – Rostov Veliky → Pereslavl-Zalessky → Sergiev Posad → Moscow
Visit Rostov Veliky, home to one of Russia’s oldest kremlins, then head to Pereslavl-Zalessky with its ancient walls and lakeside views. Finish at the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius, one of Russia’s most important monasteries, before returning to Moscow.
