9-Day Altai Natural Biosphere Reserve & Lake Teletskoye Program
Day 1 – Arrival in Gorno-Altaysk & Transfer to Lake Teletskoye
Arrival at Gorno-Altaysk Airport. Meet your guide and begin the scenic drive through the Altai Mountains to Lake Teletskoye. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of rivers, taiga forests, and mountain valleys. Arrival at the lakeside accommodation and free time to relax.
Day 2 – Lake Teletskoye Boat Cruise & Waterfalls
Boat excursion across Lake Teletskoye, often called the “Golden Lake of Altai.” Visit picturesque waterfalls, including Korbu Waterfall, and explore remote bays accessible only by water. Picnic or lunch at a lakeside location. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 3 – Villages of the Biosphere Reserve
Boat trip to villages inside the Altai Natural Biosphere Reserve, such as Yailu or Bele. Meet local residents, learn about traditional Altai lifestyles, and enjoy a homemade eco-lunch. Optional short nature walks along the lake shore.
Day 4 – Free Day at Lake Teletskoye
Free day to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Lake Teletskoye. Optional activities include hiking, swimming (seasonal), photography, fishing, or additional boat trips. A perfect day for relaxation and immersion in nature.
Day 5 – Taiga Apiary & Altai Honey Tasting
Visit a remote taiga apiary to learn about traditional mountain beekeeping. Taste famous Altai honey, propolis, and herbal teas, known for their purity and health benefits. Return to the lakeside in the evening.
Day 6 – Lake Teletskoye to Katun Valley
Depart Lake Teletskoye and travel toward the Katun Valley. Scenic stops along the way for photos and short walks. Visit the Oroktoy Bridge and observe the powerful Katun River rapids. Overnight in the Katun area.
Day 7 – Tavdinsky Caves & Altai Landscapes
Explore the Tavdinsky cave complex, one of the most famous natural attractions in the Altai region. Continue with scenic viewpoints overlooking the Katun River and surrounding mountains. Free time in the afternoon.
Day 8 – Culture & History of Altai
Visit the A.V. Anokhin National Museum in Gorno-Altaysk to discover Altai archaeology, ethnography, and ancient cultures. Stop at local art villages and souvenir markets featuring handmade crafts and traditional products.
Day 9 – DepartureTransfer to Gorno-Altaysk Airport for departure. End of the tour.
